North Burnett Region Futures Program

The North Burnett Region Futures Program is an Economic and Business Development Consultancy Service for the North Burnett Regional Council.  This program is guided by the North Burnett Region Economic Development Plan along with other regional strategies to deliver a collaborative solution for the North Burnett Region on behalf of the North Burnett Regional Council.

The North Burnett Region is the perfect place to live and to do business. Situated in the north-western corner of the thriving Wide Bay Burnett Region, the North Burnett is well-known for its strengths in agriculture (specifically fruit production), timber industry manufacturing, mining, livestock production and food and beverage processing.

Burnett Inland Economic Development Organisation

BIEDO is a key partner of the North Burnett Regional Council and is the Inland Burnett's peak regional development body. They are a fully independent, grassroots organisation providing economic and community development solutions, rural research, eco-sustainability projects and a regional coordination role. BIEDO delivers projects into every community and district in the Inland, no matter how small or remote. They are focused on practical problem solving such as lack of community transport, mental health issues and business support."
