North Burnett Regional Council Area Pest Management Plan
Every year in Queensland pest plants and animals cost more than $710 million in lost production and control. Pests cause significant economic losses, cause degradation of natural resources, threaten biodiversity and interfere with human activities.
Under the Land Protection (Pest and Stock Route Management) Act 2002 all local governments are required to have Local Government Area Pest Management Plans in place for declared pest in their area. North Burnett Regional Council with its stakeholders has developed a Local Government Area Pest Management Plan. Please see link below for a copy of the plan.
